Description
Tequila Ocho Plata is a pure expression of Blue Weber agave, unaged and full of vibrant character. Crafted from single-estate agaves grown in the Jalisco Highlands and the Camarena family “Ranchos,” it delivers bright, clean, and lively flavors. With its bold agave profile, as envisioned by Carlos and Tomas, it stands as a true reflection of terroir in tequila and offers an exceptional sipping experience.
Made using only three ingredients—agave, natural airborne yeast, and water—its production follows a slow, artisanal process. Fully ripened agaves from Los Altos de Jalisco’s Golden Triangle are harvested, then slow-cooked in brick ovens for 48 hours and rested for an additional 24 hours. The agave is crushed using a roller mill, fermented with natural airborne yeast, and double distilled at low temperatures—first in stainless steel with copper elements, then in copper pot stills.
On the nose, it presents crisp agave aromas with notes of citrus, white pepper, and minerality. The palate reveals complex layers of agave, fresh-cut grass, and subtle earthiness, finishing with a rich, silky texture and a long, balanced finish.
