The Balvenie PortWood 21 Year Old is a refined single malt Scotch whisky, crafted by marrying Balvenie aged for 21 years in traditional oak casks before finishing in port casks, or “pipes.” The result is a whisky of exceptional character—creamy and silky on the palate, with layered notes of fruit, honey, and gentle spice.
On the nose, it reveals rich aromas of ripe fruit and raisins, complemented by a subtle nutty dryness. The finish is long, smooth, and delicately nutty. It can be enjoyed neat, over ice, or with a splash of water to खुल up its full range of flavors.
The Balvenie remains dedicated to its Five Rare Crafts, preserving traditional methods that define its distinctive style. As one of the few distilleries to grow its own barley, use floor maltings, and maintain on-site coppersmiths and coopers, it stands as one of the most handcrafted single malts in Scotland.
