Description
The grapes for this Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon are sourced from a selection of Cakebread Cellars estate vineyards and top family-owned sites across the valley’s premier Cabernet appellations. Long-standing grower relationships ensure consistent access to high-quality fruit from diverse locations, allowing for a wine that is both complex and stylistically consistent.
This blend brings together the lush dark fruit and structured tannins of Napa’s warmer northern regions with the bright fruit and acidity found in the cooler southern areas. Each lot is hand-harvested at night and cold-soaked for two days to enhance color, flavor, and tannin extraction before fermentation.
Lots are fermented and aged separately, with careful adjustments to tank size, yeast selection, fermentation conditions, and barrel type to match each parcel’s character. The components are aged in French oak for six months prior to blending, followed by an additional 12 months in barrel, resulting in a refined and well-integrated final wine.
